Club members set off to Mosgiel/Taieri area on Saturday, 8 March. There they visited four gardens, had a picnic lunch, visited shops in Outram and thoroughly enjoyed their day in the country.
On 6 April we will be visible at the Blueskin-on-Show Day. Our club will have a marquee and pop-tops up to display everybody's entries. Please remember to bring along your 'Spuds-in-a-Bag'. Remember there is a children's section this year and prize monies for the heaviest spud and the heaviest crop – 1st, 2nd and 3rd for both adults and children. We will also have the usual fruit, veggie and produce section which was very well supported last year.
We will also repeat the 'Make-a-Scarecrow'; there were some great creations last year. If you wish to bring along your own clothes and bits and pieces for this then please do so BUT we will have plenty of pre-loved items to use as well. Teddy bears will be out and about for the first time. Come along with your children and listen to story-telling 'teddy bear style'. Please refer to the schedule in this issue of Blueskin News for further information on what's on offer.
On 25 April our members will, as always, be pouring tea and coffee after the Anzac Day Service in the Waitati Hall. Last but not least, huge congratulations to Sally Brown for her amazing success times three at the recent Ellerslie Flower Show. Well done, Sally.
