Locals clean up Sustainability Award nominations

Locals clean up Sustainability Award nominations

By the editors

Four Blueskin Bay organisations or people are among those nominated by
Dunedin 350 as top 'Sustainability Success Stories' from around

Jason Ross (Sutherland Nurseries), Waitati Edible Gardeners, Waitati
Energy Project and Blueskin Resilient Communities Trust have all
impressed Dunedin 350 with their commitment to sustainability.

Susan Smirk of the Dunedin350 Team says the awards can go to a group
or individual from the greater Dunedin area who shows dedication and
commitment to sustainability in an innovative way. "The winners will
be those stories which are excellent case studies and positive
examples to others in the community."

Awards will be presented at the Dunedin350 Spring Food Festival, on
October 24th, and information about winners will be displayed for the
public to read, and be inspired by, says Susan.
