Blueskin Bay radio news for Friday Sept 25

Puketapu Radio presents Blueskin Bay local news in association with blueskin.co.nz

The big event on in Blueskin Bay this weekend is the Spring Flower Show. Entries may be delivered to the Waitati Hall on Saturday between 10am and 1.30pm. The Show is open to the public on Sunday from 11am to 3pm with the prize giving at 2.45pm. There will also be a plant stall and raffles.

Saturday is clean-up day at Warrington Domain. This is your annual opportunity to clean up all the rubbish you can’t get rid of using the normal channels. However, hazardous waste, liquids and whiteware will not be accepted. It costs $6 per car, $11 per station wagon and $16 for cars with trailers, and vans or utes.

Gallery on Blueskin invites you to the 2009 Spring Show on Sunday from 11am to 4pm. Artists include: Laura Gregory, Justin Morshuis, Nigel Yates, Jacob Feenstra, Rachel Hirabayashi, Karan Snow, Danny Moorwood, Maxine Williams, Nigel Wilson, Jenna Packer, Jack Monaghan, Peter Gregory & Chris Reid. And weather permitting there will be live Jazz in the afternoon by "The Swing of Things”.

Tuesday night’s movie offering will be the movies, Palestine, Summer 06 and Bride of Galilee. Movies are shown at Bill’s place in Orokonui Rd from 8pm.
