The new Waitati branch of the Dunedin Rudolf Steiner School Playgroup
has had a successful first term. The children and their parents have
been meeting on Wednesday mornings in the small room off the Waitati

The adults have had the opportunity to learn more about Steiner
education while the children have enjoyed playing in a peaceful
setting with toys made of natural materials.

The sessions incorporate songs, games, stories, outdoor play, and a
shared morning tea of fruit and freshly baked bread.

The first term ended with a Winter Lantern Festival at the school in
Dunedin. Three Steiner playgroups joined to watch a puppet show,
paraded lanterns made by the children, and enjoyed a delicious lunch.

The Wednesday morning playgroup is now full, but if you have a child
aged 0-3 and are interested in joining, please phone Nick 478 0411 or
