NEW LOCAL BUSINESS Blueskin Bay Counselling

NEW LOCAL BUSINESS

Blueskin Bay Counselling

There are times in our lives when we can find ourselves struggling to
cope. We may feel we need to talk with someone outside of family or
friends. A professional, who can help us make sense of our situations
and support us to see a way forward. We need to speak with a
professional, who won't judge us in any way.

Blueskin Bay Counselling (BBC) is a confidential, professional
counselling service, offering face to face, telephone and online
counselling, in Waitati, with Jeannie Horn, MBACP Accred, Cruse
Accred, Provisional Member NZAC.

Jeannie is a qualified counsellor and an Accredited Member of the
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, with experience
of working short term and long term, with both adolescents and adults,
in groups and one to one. Having worked within the alcohol and other
drugs (AOD) field, bereavement and loss, with adolescents in schools
and in private practice, Jeannie is an experienced counsellor.

Some of the many issues Jeannie has helped with are:

a.. Anxiety
b.. Anger
c.. Depression
d.. Relationships
e.. Identity
f.. Sexuality
g.. Isolation
h.. Life transitions
i.. Work issues

Jeannie offers counselling face to face, at her home on Blueskin Road.
Sometimes attending fixed appointments can be difficult for people
with children, with a disability or a busy lifestyle. Jeannie also
offers telephone counselling as well as online counselling to support
those people who would find it more convenient for their lives.

Jeannie is originally from Yorkshire, in the UK, and lives in Waitati
with her family. Her training is in counselling and psychotherapy
based in Humanistic principles of warmth, honesty and unconditional
positive regard. Jeannie is also experienced in Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy (CBT) and offers this way of working when the client feels
comfortable with beginning to move forward and make changes in their
lives.

Counselling consultations last for up to 50 minutes each, with evening
appointments available. You can bring any problem you want to, no
matter how big or small. If something is causing you to feel
troubled, then it's important enough to bring to a counselling
consultation. You will not be judged in any way, only respected and
offered warmth and honesty. Together with your counsellor, you can
begin to explore familiar patterns in your life, how our thoughts and
feelings can affect our behaviour and discover a different way
forwards, to live a happier life.
