Blueskin Bay radio news for Friday July 10

 

Puketapu Radio presents Blueskin Bay local news in association with blueskin.co.nz

 

A special fundraising screening by the Waitati Film Society takes place tomorrow night. Breath of Peace will be shown in the Waitati Hall at 8pm. Filmmaker Kathleen Gallagher will speak about the making of her unique documentary which is the fascinating story of effort towards global peace. Tickets are $10 and $12 at the door.

 

On Sunday a creative memories workshop will be held at Warrington Hall between 2 and 4pm. It is ideal for anyone wishing to learn how to keep memories of past events and people alive.

 

The school holiday programme is well underway with two more dance drama events this coming week. Circles and Stomps will be held on Tuesday and Forces of Nature on Thursday. Both run from 10 to 11am. These are suitable for children aged between five and 10.

 

Waitati Film Society’s offering on Tuesday night is the East German movie, I Was 19. Movies are shown at Bill’s Place on Orokonui Rd from 8pm each Tuesday night.

 

And finally, Tae Kwon Do classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Warrington Hall between 6 and 7.30pm. Everyone interested in a little mid-winter activity is welcome.
