Blueskin Bay radio news for Friday July 3

Puketapu Radio presents Blueskin Bay local news in association with blueskin.co.nz

Now that school holidays are underway, keeping the children entertained in this miserable weather will be a challenge. However, there is plenty of activity in the Dance Drama holiday programme at the Waitati Hall next week. On Tuesday, kids can release their inner animal at Animalia while on Thursday, fairies and princesses will be sparkling and shimmering. Each activity runs for an hour from 10am and all youngsters aged 5 to 10 are welcome.

The Waitati Toy Library is also open this weekend – from 10.30am until 11.30am tomorrow, and again on Monday evening at 6.30pm. There is a great range of toys to be borrowed.

Weather permitting, the Seacliff Market will again be held on Sunday. Running from 11am to 2pm, the market offers a great range of food, preserves, bric-a-brac and books. You’ll find the market on Coast Road at Seacliff.

Waitati Film Society’s offering on Tuesday night is the East German movie, I Was 19. Movies are shown at Bill’s Place on Orokonui Rd from 8pm each Tuesday night.

And if you’re looking for something in the artistic line, visit Gallery on Blueskin. There’s a new selection of work on show by local potter, Peter Gregory. The gallery is open 10.30am to 4pm Tuesdays to Sundays and is an excellent place to take visitors to the area.
