Blueskin Bay radio news for Friday March 27

Blueskin Bay radio news for Friday March 27

Puketapu Radio presents Blueskin Bay local news in association with blueskin.co.nz

It’s another busy weekend in Blueskin Bay for residents – human and feline.

The Surf Lifesaving Monster Garage Sale is not to be missed. It will be held at Warrington from 9am on Saturday and promises bargains galore.

On Sunday, Gallery on Blueskin features a potting workshop by well known Waikouaiti potter, Peter Gregory. He’ll be demonstrating his skills throughout the day to everyone interested in the art of potting.

And, while not happening on local territory, the library’s pet cat, Mimi, is off to town. She will be attending the Cat Show where she will assist Blueskin Bay librarian Louise with storytelling duties.

The Waitati Film Society’s movie on Tuesday night is Occupation 101, one of the best movies yet made about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Movies are held at Bill’s place in Orokonui Rd from 8pm.

And, finally, for those energetic enough to try something new, Waitati now has Salsa dance classes.  Every Thursday night, you can cha-cha to your heart’s content at the Waitati hall. Beginners and experts all welcome between 7-8pm.
