Local librarian drawn to community

The Dunedin Public Library's Blueskin Bay branch librarian Louise
Booth, who recently moved to Waitati after several years of commuting,
says she was drawn to the community as she liked the "feel", the
people and being helpful.

"It felt right here. it seemed the right fit," Louise told 'Blueskin News'.

For five years Louise has been getting in books that local library
users have requested and organising holiday programs whenever she and
the rest of the library team felt there has been a need. These events
have included soirées, Turn off TV Week, book readings and clubs.

Before Louise came to Blueskin Bay Library she completed the Bachelor
of Information Technology as an adult student of Otago Polytechnic.

Louise plans to travel at some stage but says she is not ready to
leave our little community yet.
