Candidate election statement: Metiria Turei

I had the pleasure to share the Greens' vision for public transport at
the recent "Trains" meeting held in the Waitati Hall.

There was a really good vibe and it is positive to see strong
community action. What is needed now is leadership and for your
representatives to listen to the community. Can we really afford to
build a new stadium when basic needs are not being met? We need decent
public transport, warm energy efficient houses and water that is safe
to drink. For action that will help future generations and not burden
them, party vote Green.

Access to efficient public transport is a key Green Party policy. Our
campaigns to buy back the railways, save the Overlander and electrify
Auckland's railways have been successful. In Parliament the only thing
that counts is numbers. Party Vote Green and help us get New Zealand
on the right track.
