Do your paperwork, or you'll get some more to do

Constable Jon-Paul Tremain is bothered about rural drivers' attitude
to paperwork – warrants of fitness, vehicle registrations, and
graduated licences. "Ensure your vehicles are up to scratch and
roadworthy, Jon warned. "Learner and restricted drivers, it is time to
move on to either your full licence or the next part of the graduated
system, don't allow yourself to be ticketed with hefty fines, the cost
of moving on is far less than the cost of accruing infringement
notices."

Jon also issued a plea for drivers to "please keep an eye out for
people on foot, riding bicycles, or riding on horseback, remember we
share the roads – we don't own them."
