Semple question proves tricky to answer

Family researcher Sarah Semple has been trying without success to
identify the origins of the naming of Semple Rd in Upper Waitati. "My
great great grandfather Alexander Semple and his family lived up
there, and I am trying to confirm whether Semple Rd was named after
them," she said. Sarah is writing a book about the Semple family of
Waitati, and would like to include this in the book.

"I have tried the Dunedin City Council and the Settlers Museum,
without success," Sarah said. Readers who know of someone that she
could contact to find out this information can email: sarahsemple @
