Gardeners do the Monster Mash on Clean-up Days

The Waikouaiti Coast Community Board is providing a commercial mulcher
for the 6 and 7 October 2007 Clean-up Days to dispose of green waste
such as hedge clippings and prunings.

The mulch generated will be used within the Warrington reserve area.
Pest plants such as gorse, broom, ragwort, thistles and other invasive
will not be accepted. The charge for this service will be $10 per
load..

Members of the public will be directed to the appropriate drop off
point on the day. Operating hours will be the same as normal: 10am to
5pm.

The vegetation will be stockpiled and mulched at the end of each day
by about 5.30.

The Community Board hope that the service will be well received, at
this stage it is considered a one-off. Any future service will depend
on its success.

Other Community Board news:
• the Board received a petition requesting a reduction in speed limit
for Coast Rd at Seacliff
