Fwd: Waitati School News

Well done to all who participated in the inaugural Waitati and
Warrington Schools triathlon. Thanks to all of your awesome effort we
managed to win the WaWa Challenge. Plenty of outstanding performances
- the winning teams in the respective grades were: Year 1-2 (Finn
Kelly, Lucan Willis, Kahu iti), Year 3-4 (Ben Carr, Mat Purbrick,
Austin Clarke), Year 5-6 (Bruno Willis, Edan Feint, Tadhg Kelly) and
Year 7-8 (Matt Kelly, Ali Harris, Henry Hailes). Also in the
individual races - Heta Scarf-Matthews first in the Year 4-5, Sarah
Gifford and Minetta Oxley first in the Year 7-8. In general, across
the board, the performance and effort was outstanding.

Pet Day is on March 21.

Waitati School PTA fundraising Carwash - 24 March at Gilmour Motors.
Cost - $5 pre-sold voucher available from the school (includes one
sausage per voucher).

Calling for any old or unused wetsuits that can be donated to the
school. We are wanting to have a wetsuit pod with a selection of
sizes so any child without one can still enjoy kayaking.

In response to some requests for food other than pies to be available
from school, we now introduce new lunch orders, the pies will still be
selling at normal prices. Now there are meals on offer in small and
large sizes. The small meals will be in normal pie tin size and will
cost $2.00 each. The large ones are about double the size and cost
$3.00. The flavours (available in both sizes) are: Spaghetti
Bolognaise, Macaroni Cheese (with bacon) and Vegetarian Pasta

We are trialling these and will be getting 10 of each flavour in the
small size and the same in the large size to see how they go. The
flavours will change from time to time just for a bit of variety, but
we will advise you of that. If these are not popular we will not
carry on with them, but we think it's worth a try.
