Dunedin Public Library trials "Book Car" service in Warrington

The Dunedin Public Library, which has operated a successful Book Bus
service for many years, is trialling a "Book Car" service in
Warrington over the next three months. Staff of the Blueskin Bay
Library will travel by car to the school and local hall with several
baskets of books and a portable computer.

"We have been successful in arranging a three month trial period for
the library stepping outside of its four walls and going out into the
community," said Blueskin Bay librarian Louise Sherriff. "We have the
use of a laptop computer to access the library catalogue."

The "Book Car" service will operate at these places and times:

Warrington School, Tuesdays, 3.15 – 4.30: 27 March, 24 April, 22 May

Warrington Memorial Hall, Wednesdays, 2pm – 3.30pm: 28 March, 11
April, 2 May, 16 May, 6 June

Warrington Memorial Hall, Thursdays, 6 – 7pm: 5 April, 19 April, 26
April, 10 May, 24 May, 7 June

Members of the public will be able to issue and return books, place
holds, search the library catalogue and register as new members.
