East Otago Community Health Trust to offer mini checkups

The East Otago Community Health Trust was established in 2003 as a
means of ensuring ongoing general medical practitioner services in
the area from Hampden to Blueskin. The following are some of the
achievements of the Trust over the last three years

- bought the Medical Centre building at Palmerston

- recruited a second doctor for the area

- replaced older equipment, purchased new equipment

- made improvements to the Waikouaiti, Hampden and Warrington clinics

The Trust now wishes to offer you the opportunity to have a mini
health check for a fraction of the cost of going to your GP! With this
in mind it hopes to have a "Well Adult Health Check" stand at the
Blueskin Show on 31 March. With your consent and a gold coin donation,
we will check your blood pressure, blood sugar levels, weight and body
mass index, etc. Come along and see if you are healthy.
